RFP: Shafer Park Path - Phase IV

The Town of Boonsboro is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide construction services for the fourth phase of the Shafer Park Walking Path Master Plan. Phase IV will join the path networks of the old and new sections of Shafer Park on the north side of the creek.

The project includes the construction of approximately 1,700 linear feet of 6-foot-wide pervious asphalt pedestrian trail in Shafer Park, connecting Path Phases I and II to the original path network in the older section of the park.

Firms submitting bids must be able to complete the project by October 1, 2024

**A pre-bid meeting, for all interested contractors is scheduled for Monday, June 17, 2024, at 9:30 AM outside of the Community Center in Shafer Park, 37 Park Drive, Boonsboro, MD 21713. This is not a mandatory meeting but will be helpful in the bid process.

One (1) Copy of the bid proposal shall be submitted and include the following criteria:
  1. Contractor/Company Qualifications, including licenses/certifications
  2. Certificate of Insurance
  3. List of References
  4. Signed Bid Tab

Bids must be received by the Town of Boonsboro, either by mail or hand delivery, no later than
4:00PM on June 27, 2024, in a Sealed Envelope marked “Shafer Park Path – PHASE IV” at the Town of Boonsboro, 21 North Main Street, Boonsboro, Maryland 21713. Any bids received after the above time will not be accepted, under any circumstances. Bids shall remain valid for 90 days.

The Bids will be opened and read aloud at 4:15PM on Thursday, June 27, 2024, in the Town Hall Meeting Chambers, located at 19 North Main Street, Boonsboro, Maryland. All bidders are notified that regarding any contract pursuant to this advertisement, businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of gender, race, color, creed, sex, age, physical disability or national origin in consideration for an award.
