Early Notification for Preliminary Small PWS PFAS Results

Our water system has sampled for a series of contaminants as required by EPA’s 5th Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR5). The sample was collected on 8/11/2025 from Facility TP02 BOONSBORO - KEEDYSVILLE / Sample Point EP02 Finished Water Tap -WTP2 - Well 8 location for Sample Event SE2.  Maryland regulations (COMAR 26.04.01.15-4) require that systems notify their customers that results of the UCMR5 are available within 3 months after receipt of results. If you are interested in examining the results or would like more information, please contact adminassist@townofboonsboro.com or (301)432-5141.  Results from UCMR5 monitoring  are made publicly available approximately once every three months on EPA’s website https://www.epa.gov/sdwa/national-contaminant-occurrence-database-ncod or use the link found on the Town of Boonsboro’s website https://www.town.boonsboro.md.us/pfasnotification.
