Nora Roberts & Inn BoonsBoro
The beautifully restored historic boutique bed-and-breakfast located on the square and owned by New York Times Bestselling author Nora Roberts and husband Bruce Wilder opened for business on February 17, 2009.
Located on the corner of North Main and St. Paul Street, this stone building was originally built by Peter Conn as The Eagle Hotel. Following his death in the 1820’s, the property changed hands numerous times. At the end of the 19th century, the location was run as the Commercial Hotel, which changed to The Boone Hotel in the late 1930’s. Gradually the demand for a hotel at that site diminished so The Boone Hotel housed businesses that ranged from eateries to an antique store to a skateboard shop. Finally, it just stood on The Square empty and waiting.
Inn BoonsBoro provides guests with excellent service, artful details and a warm hospitality that has been handed down at North Main Street and St. Paul Street or more than two centuries.
