*Public Hearing - Ordinance 2025-01; Fiscal Year 2026 Budget, Tax Rates and Water and Sewer Rates

Notice is hereby given that on Monday, May 12, 2025 the Mayor and Council of Boonsboro will hold a Public Hearing at 6:30PM in the Town Annex Meeting Chambers (19 North Main Street, Boonsboro, MD) to receive public input on Ordinance 2025-01: Fiscal Year 2026 Budgets and Tax Rates. Public testimony is encouraged. Speakers will be allowed to address the Council for three minutes.
A summary of the budgets is below:
GENERAL FUND: Provides estimates for the Fiscal Year 2026 revenues based upon the tax rate of $0.3591 per $100.00 of assessed property value and Sanitation rate of $35 per quarter, as well as expenditures for Capital Improvements, Public Safety, Parks, and Administration.
WATER AND SEWER FUND: Provides estimates for the Fiscal Year 2026 revenues and expenditures pertaining to Water and Sewer infrastructure and services, based on a tiered rate structure as follows:

The Ordinance and Budgets may be reviewed during regular business hours at the Boonsboro Town Hall located at 21 North Main Street in Boonsboro, MD or are available online at www.town.boonsboro.md.us/agendas. If approved, Fiscal Year Budgets will become effective July 1, 2025.
