Position Objectives:

The Town of Boonsboro (population 3,791) is accepting résumés, cover letters and/or employment applications for the position of Police Officer for the Boonsboro Police Department (BPD)


Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be US Citizens, at least 21 years of age, be a high school graduate/GED, and have a valid Maryland driver’s license. 
  • Applicants must be able to successfully complete physical agility testing, an oral interview, drug screening, and a comprehensive background investigation which includes a truth verification test.

Desirable Training and Experience:

  • Applicants must be a Maryland Certified Police Officer with 3+ years experience.
  • Applicants must be currently MPCTC Certified or not separated from service for over 3 years.
