Fall Bulk Clean-Up & Recycling
When:Town of Boonsboro residents can bring unwanted bulky items to the parking lot in Shafer Park on Saturday, October 11th from 8am until 12 noon for discarding, recycling and donating.
Volunteers will be available to help unload and sort. Horizon Goodwill Industries, Habitat ReStore - Washington County and Conservit, Inc. will be on-site to accept donations. Several dumpsters will be available for disposal of unusable items. Usable items will be salvaged and available during the day for FREE.
The following will be accepted for RECYCLING:
All electronic devices (including TVs, cables, monitors), all metal appliances, any type of scrap metal, bicycles, all types of batteries, furniture, eye glasses, Christmas tree lights and car seats. We will also take other hard plastics to recycle, such as buckets, resin patio chairs and 'Little Tike' type children play equipment.
Also, the glass crushing machine will be set up by Jim King of Crushin' It. Bring a bucket or more of food grade bottles (labels okay, but no caps/lids) and take home a bucket of sand.
Unacceptable items include opened cans of paint, tires, construction and remodeling debris (including concrete and bricks) and toxic materials.
**Event is RAIN OR SHINE**
**Citizens must show proof of in-town residency, such as a driver's license or a Town utility bill unless strictly dropping of donations or recyclables.**
**Residents unable to transport large items to the Park should hold those items until the Spring Curbside Clean-Up in May 2026.**
