Boonsboro Community Garden

🌽 Welcome to the Boonsboro Community Garden! 🥕

Nestled in the new section of Shafer Park, the Boonsboro Community Garden is a place where neighbors come together to grow fresh food, share gardening tips, and build a stronger, greener community.

Started by the Boonsboro Environmental Commission with the support of the Mayor and Council, the garden began taking shape in 2023 with the help of local volunteers and grant funding. What was once unused open space has been transformed into a vibrant, welcoming spot with garden beds, gravel paths, sheds, greenhouse, pollinator garden, and deer proof fencing — all designed to be accessible for gardeners of all ages and abilities.

Whether you’re a seasoned grower or just curious about getting your hands in the dirt, there’s a place for you here. The garden isn’t just about growing vegetables — it’s about growing connections. It’s a place to slow down, share stories, and enjoy the simple joy of working with the earth.

Join us and be part of something that’s blooming right in the heart of Boonsboro!
